What actually is a celebrant?

The legal signing of a marriage license occurs in front of at least 2 witnesses along with a registrar. This is the legal paperwork part, not a wedding that reflects who you are.

Wedding celebrants are liberated from restriction as our ceremonies are not legally binding. You no longer have to guess who will be turn up on the day to officiate the most special moments of your life. You can ditch the multiple choice menus. We are free to create a completely unique ceremony that is 100% tailored to you.

Perhaps you’d like a wedding ceremony that features both your cultures in harmony, with elements that reflect your faith. Or maybe you want your theatre mates to perform halfway through. Or you might want a handfasting ritual thrown in that features the colours of your favourite football team. With me, every decision belongs to you.

Oh, and celebrant weddings can be held wherever you like! Get hitched in your parent’s back garden under your favourite tree. Or on the beach dunes at golden hour. Or in your favourite pub, converted barn, or anywhere else that inspires you.

Most of my couples do ‘the paper bit’ a few weeks before their Big Day at their local registry office. Get it filed and then do a little happy dance as the best is yet to come.
